Quarry Wagon Kits

This all metal tipper or skip wagon kit is proving to be very popular. It is a 16mm scale model of the prolific Hudson Rugga 2 foot gauge wagon – the particular specification being the 27 cubic foot, type C, stronger construction, with central stiffener for loco haulage. The model has quality, scale diameter steel wheels running in especially machined brass bearings, one piece white cast metal chassis frame, cast end stanchions, axleboxes and skip ends. The skip body (with its curved shape and rivet detail pre-formed) is etched brass as are the skip end capping strips and working catch levers.

The 45mm gauge version follows prototypical practice, it being re-gauged with larger gussetted brackets supporting the axleboxes.
