Description
The coach was built by the Oldbury Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1883 for the Malta Railway metre gauge system, which ran between Valletta and Mdina. Similar examples were exported to New Zealand and other parts of the world.
The kit can be built for either 32mm or 45mm gauge track.
Length over body is 322mm, width over body is 112mm (124mm over the steps) and height above rail is 150mm.
The prototype coach is quite big (the Malta Railway is metre gauge). The model is accurately scaled and matches a typical Roundhouse locomotive profile very well. We recommend fitting 25mm diameter RSA30 wheels. You will also need couplings to complete the model.
