Built by The Lancaster Wagon Co Ltd., the sides have exposed planks and framing. Coach No;4 affectionately known as ‘Lulu’ by the railway.
The kit truly models the quirks and intricate details of this well loved coach. To be exact, the model is of the coach as surveyed in June 2010 and includes details such as floor slat panels, seat cushions which can be left out if you wish to model an earlier period – as the seats and floor do have the correct plank detail already engraved into them. Of course both sides are prototypically different and you can see through the ventilators to the fancy internal shape. Bevels are already laser engraved into the framing, requiring the modeller to apply only a light sanding to finish, even an engraved makers plate is supplied. Electric communication details and air brake pipes are included, but again may be omitted if an earlier period is desired. Cast brass proper shaped door handles, grab rails and footboard brackets are included as are transfers.
